Laura resides in Windsor, Ontario and holds a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Guelph, specializing in the area of developmental disabilities. She also completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor with current certification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and additional teaching qualifications in ESL, Special Education, and Guidance & Career Education. Her experience in the area of teaching and advocacy is diverse, with over 15 years of employment in public education and developmental services, while maintaining a full-time focus on her family.
More recently, Laura has applied her skills to higher education with experiences as a sessional instructor and learning facilitator at St. Clair College; as well as a career consultant at the University of Windsor.
She has had the pleasure of supporting diverse groups of learners with their academic and career development. Laura’s passion is empowering students in their career development through consultation, psychometric interest assessment, experiential learning, and specialized career workshops. She has recently embarked on the provision of career and academic consulting in private practice.
